I picked up the February issue of Food & Wine, and the cover totally reminded me of something!  Finally it occurred to me - Free People's lunch club!

Tree Cosies

     

These tree cosies are a part of a community knitting project that took place in October here in Chicago.  The installation was a part of Lakeview East's 44/46 project (where local artists had projects that were supposed to inspire conversation placed all around the neighborhood).  I finally got around to checking them out.  More pictures here (which are much better the the ones I was able to take with my phone)!

Custom House

            

We had dinner at Custom House again last night. It was just as good as the first time. I love a restaurant that serves a cookie and confection plate.

I can practically taste them...

More Checkerboard

          

I'm diggin' the checkered floor in Kate Spade's Manhattan kitchen (from The World of Interiors, December '06). I don't think a person would get tired of black and white checks. The brown ones, yes, but these are much more timeless.
