I'm a big fan of artwork by Hugo Guinness, and I love how fresh these brushed ink flowers look in this room (Domino, March '07). Other works by the artist available at John Derian Drygoods.

I think, finally, I've figured out what I need to make my apartment magazine-worthy: stacks of books. I clearly do not have nearly enough stacks of large and/or antique-looking books to pile in corners and under lamps! Now that I think about it, I haven't seen a design/decor picture without them in years. What have I been thinking, buying chairs and art?! Books! Need more books!

If you're looking for more Hugo Guinness art, he's recently created a limited-edition series of botanical prints for Vogue, on sale now at the Conde Nast Store.
Four botanical designs, framed, 100 prints of each design, at $300 each. You can see the images listed in the index of the December issue of Vogue. These are probably going to go fast, so I'd get in there now.
