Brian and Margaret brought me home a beautiful old seltzer bottle from their time in Buenos Aries. I love it. They took this picture in one of the antique markets there.
Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays! For me, the anticipation of Christmas is almost as wonderful as the event itself, and this year we made the most of it! We went to shows, the ballet and we baked like crazy. Hopefully it will be enough to sustain us through the long winter!
I'm leaving up the decorations for a few more days, but my thoughts are already on next year's celebrations. I think I might try my hand at a homemade advent calendar, like this one from Country Living, December '05.
Imagining a place for these salvaged church chairs, and dreaming of booking one of these trips.

We're back from Ireland, and the trip was amazing! I'll try to put up some additional pictures as I get settled in. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to posting here more regularly!!
I can't believe it - I started this blog exactly a year ago! 200 posts later - I still love cataloging the things that inspire me. More than that - I love being inspired by all the great blogs I read on a daily basis (somehow, even when I don't have time to post here, I always manage a few minutes to click through to my favorites)!
Bedroom from ELLE Decoration, September '07. I should be sick of these glass lamps... but I'm not.
I can't believe it's been so long since my last post! But we've been so productive: We moved into our new house! I love this place, and I can't sleep at night for dreaming about the endless possibilities (Furniture arrangement! Fabrics! Paints!). For now it's a sea of boxes. And I'm so excited - there's a Farmers Market down the street. I'm definitely going this Saturday. (Photo CountryLiving.com)
Love these laminated reminders - Paper, Plastic or Glass. And that Anya Hindmarch bag is a lot cuter than my green bag. Living ETC, July 2007.
This weekend we: had a birthday dinner (mine!), hit an antique market (where I found some great little iron birds for the wedding tables!), went to a graduation party (I believe I ate my weight in picnic food), and shopped for a new couch (no luck).
But wait! We had a whole extra day! So we also had time to: have drinks with friends, enjoy the amazing weather, watch several movies, and schedule the movers. Every weekend should be three days long!
Speaking of birthdays, Theo surprised me with this portrait on Friday. I admired it months ago in one of our local antique shops - and apparently he's had it hidden in our closet ever since! [Insert contented *sigh* here.]
I'm seriously considering painting our new office green (House Beautiful, June '07). I usually stick to warm neutrals, but I'm ready for a change.
Who decided to get married AND move in the same year - so much to do! What were we thinking??
