Dennis over at American Furnishings wrote to tell me about their new line of vintage industrial furniture, and I'm loving it! They use items found in abandoned factories and re-purpose them into useful everyday items. Some of their pieces would make amazing butcher's blocks, and I'm thinking of using one of their shelves in Theo's office.
It was nearly 60 degrees today in Chicago. The weather was so spring-like and perfect, it was making me wish I had patio doors like this on my bedroom! Cottage Living, March '08.
I'm a crazy fan of woodblock prints - so I nearly died when I saw this two-dimensional steer sculpture! The Spring '08 issue of O at Home features the country retreat of Bil Ehrlich, a New York real estate developer, and his family. Ehrlich created the sculpture himself by magnifying an 18th century woodblock print and then transferring that cute cow onto outdoor-sign plastic. Perfect!
