We're back from Ireland, and the trip was amazing! I'll try to put up some additional pictures as I get settled in. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to posting here more regularly!!
Martha's Good Things For the Home (Fall 2007) is inspiring me to get my spare bedroom together. We currently don't have a head board (or curtains, or rugs...or any coziness for that matter). And of course - because of wedding activities - we'll have a ton of people staying in there over the next few weeks. I recently bought these curtains in an effort to jazz up the space. (I'm bummed that anthropologie doesn't carry their line of curtains in the store anymore. I hope I like them in-person!!)
I can't seem to stop thinking about alternative lighting ideas for the wedding (like these candles in a birdcage from Housemartin). I'm trying use other things besides flowers for centerpieces at the reception - and I think this would be perfect. Back to ebay for me.
I've got to find some of these apple baskets for the wedding - ebay here I come! via Garden Rooms.
Good thing Theo is such a good sport - because I'm definitely leaning towards an acorn or pine cone boutonniere for our October wedding. Image from Michelle Rago. (Have you checked out this woman's portfolio??! Beautiful!)
I can't believe it's been so long since my last post! But we've been so productive: We moved into our new house! I love this place, and I can't sleep at night for dreaming about the endless possibilities (Furniture arrangement! Fabrics! Paints!). For now it's a sea of boxes. And I'm so excited - there's a Farmers Market down the street. I'm definitely going this Saturday. (Photo CountryLiving.com)
I love the idea of randomly projected movies. Haven't you seen those great magazine spreads: A movie in a field, projected on the side of an old barn, everyone sitting on blankets and eating popcorn? Some neighbors in the building next to ours projected a movie onto the side of their place last summer - and I really wanted to invite myself over to watch. I've got to come up with a way to incorporate this into our next party! I've been tossing around the idea of working it into the wedding somehow - the side of the tent would be perfect - but I've yet to have my ah-ha moment. Country Home, July/August '07.
