My brother jokingly said my first blog entry needed a mission statement and a sentence or two about my life's philosophy. No wonder it took me over a year to start one! It's a lot of pressure, but here goes:
I'm a city-living Chicago girl, the kind that loves brown turtleneck sweaters, flower shops with names like Stem, and breakfast at cafes like Milk and Honey. I love cookbooks, magazines, home design, and the art of ritual. Throw in some ridiculously expensive candles (textiles, Dahlias, soft blue cheese, anything letterpressed) and some Diet Coke, and I'm a happy girl.
Since all good things are better if you share them - I'll post about the things I love, including my family and sweet fiance Theo.
Clockwise:
1.) Theo and I on one of our first nights out.
2.) Fabric from the Designers Guild Samarkand Collection.
3.) Chicago's Milk and Honey Cafe
4.) 'Paul Smith' Dahlia
5.) 'Butterfly Loop' Nama Rococo Wallpaper in 'Peacock'
6.) Lora Zarubin's I am Almost Always Hungry
Finally the long-awaited blog has arrived! Although I must say I'm slightly disappointed that there haven't been more posts since the first. I've already checked 5 times for new entries. Get on it!
