I can't seem to stop thinking about alternative lighting ideas for the wedding (like these candles in a birdcage from Housemartin). I'm trying use other things besides flowers for centerpieces at the reception - and I think this would be perfect. Back to ebay for me.
This looks like a nice idea, you should send Pam at housemartin an email about your wedding. She may be able to post some great ideas for you.

that's a fantastic idea! we used terrariums. I haven't posted pics of them, but they were amazing- different bell jars or cloches or something inbetween with moss and rocks and different things inside them, including birds in several of them. they did have flowers, but were unusual. i loved them.
