Just when I thought I was tired of seeing blackboard paint, I stumbled on this kitchen in the November '08 Gourmet. I love the idea of a blackboard as a backdrop for open shelving - a great way to showcase that favorite recipe of Grandma's! I'd write up this recipe for pumpkin pancakes that I make all the time but can't quite remember.
What a cool idea! Maybe someday when I have my very own kitchen to decorate...

Love the blackboards too although, I can't STAND the feel of chalk...my boards would all be blank! :)

We painted our entire fridge in blackboard paint. It's brilliant! FYI- did you catch the newest issue of domino? I am obsessed with the cover story. Jenna's entire bedroom is painted a deep dark dreamy color which is actually chalkboard paint. oh so brilliant!!
